North Dakota State Officers, 2026-2027

North Dakota State Officers have been elected to uphold the highest level of responsibility and dedication to North Dakota HOSA.

Braelyn Scott
State President

Braelyn is a senior at Grand Forks Central High School and is beyond grateful to be an active HOSA member for three years. As State President, some things Braelyn has the privilege of doing include, working with the rest of her team and advisors to plan and construct conferences and various events throughout the 2026-2027 year. She will oversee the Membership Advisory Council, and gets to connect and help lead local HOSA chapters all over the state, which is something very important to her.

Outside of HOSA, Braelyn is very involved in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Student Council, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and is a team manager and student athletic trainer for Central's football team. Some other things she loves and are very important to her include going to hot yoga sculpt classes, watching every University of North Dakota (UND), Minnesota Wild, and Grand Forks Central hockey game, going to the lake with her family to tube and tan, going on walks, having friends over, and most importantly, working her job at an elementary school with kids she has had the privilege of knowing for three years now. After high school, Braelyn plans to attend UND to major in chemistry or kinesiology to later attend medical school in hopes to become a Sports Medicine or Family Medicine Physician.

Marley Foss
Vice President

Marley is a senior at Oakes High School and is honored to serve her second term as a state officer for North Dakota HOSA as the Secondary Vice President. Through this position, Marley aims to support chapter growth, build stronger connections among members, and promote leadership development throughout North Dakota HOSA. Marley is excited to continue contributing to the growth and success of North Dakota HOSA.

Outside of HOSA, Marley is involved in FFA, DECA, volleyball, and track. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. After high school, she plans to attend the University of North Dakota and serve in the Air National Guard.

Setiya Hamidi
State Liaison of Outreach and Charter Relations

Setiya is a senior at Fargo Davies High School and has been an active member of HOSA for three years. As the State Liaison of Outreach and Charter Relations, she is responsible for representing the needs of chapters across the state, overseeing the development of chapters and member resources, and serving as the primary point of contact for chapters interested in strengthening or establishing HOSA programs. Her goals are to create more in-depth resources for local members and leadership, grow North Dakota's national connections, and amplify the voices of HOSA members across the state.

Beyond HOSA, Setiya is involved in Speech and Debate, Science Olympiad, Environmental Club, and plays the viola. In her free time, she loves to write, bike, and make coffee. In the future, Setiya plans to pursue a career in medicine and global health policy. Her biggest piece of advice is to never doubt your ability to make a difference!

Arlin Grinolds
State Secretary

Arlin is a junior at Century High School in Bismarck and this is his third year as a member of HOSA. As State Secretary, he is responsible for maintaining accurate records and tracking progress on state initiatives. His goal is to streamline communication, ensure documentation of all officer proceedings, and foster greater transparency between the state officers and local chapters.

Outside of HOSA, Arlin participates in Acalympics, Science Olympiad, Science Bowl, and the Bismarck-Mandan Youth Symphony Orchestra. In his free time, he enjoys playing the piano, violin, and tennis. After high school, he hopes to double major in biology and finance before pursuing a career in surgery, with a specific interest in cardiovascular or neurosurgery.

Abhi Kotala
State Historian

Abhi has been involved in HOSA for two years and is a senior at West Fargo Sheyenne High School. As State Historian, Abhi is responsible for leading and managing all North Dakota HOSA social media platforms and communications and ensuring coverage of HOSA activities and supporting engagement of state initiatives throughout the year.

I hope to become an engineer in the future, and plan on majoring in biomedical engineering and business. Aside from HOSA, Abhi is involved in track, cross country, forensics, robotics, National Honor Society, and research in tissue engineering at North Dakota State University. In the future, he hopes to become an engineer, with plans on majoring in biomedical engineering and business. His goal for HOSA this year, is to help promote healthcare education and leadership while making sure all students have equal access to the resources and opportunities they need to pursue future healthcare careers. "Through leadership, service, and teamwork I hope to create a platform where inclusivity is prioritized to expand our state's chapter."
