HOSA State Advisor
Brandy Madrigal is a native West Texan growing up in a small town outside of Lubbock, TX having
lived there until her high school sweetheart who she married in 2016 joined the United State Air Force.
After being stationed in Eastern New Mexico, she and their family received orders to Minot AFB in North
Dakota where they have set roots in the small town of Glenburn in December of 2021.
Brandy received her bachelor's degree in Biology in 2015 from Texas Tech University and also completed a Licensed Vocational Nursing program in 2018. She earned a master's degree in Public Health through Texas Tech Health Science Center in December 2025.

State Officer Coach and Event Assistant
Kyan
Woodruff is a dedicated Political Science major at North Dakota State University (NDSU) with a strong
background
in leadership and healthcare education.
His journey with HOSA began in high school, where he developed a passion for empowering future healthcare professionals. Kyan served as the North Dakota HOSA State Vice President for two years before taking on the role of State President, where he worked to expand opportunities for students and strengthen the organization’s impact.
Now, as the State Officer Coach, Kyan is committed to mentoring and guiding the next generation of HOSA leaders. Drawing from his experience in organizational leadership and policy, he helps officers refine their skills in communication, teamwork, and advocacy. His goal is to ensure that North Dakota HOSA continues to thrive, providing students with the resources and support they need to succeed in both healthcare and leadership.
