HOSA State Advisor
Brandy Madrigal is a native West Texan growing up in a small town outside of Lubbock, TX having
lived there until her high school sweetheart who she married in 2016 joined the United State Air Force.
After being stationed in Eastern New Mexico, she and their family received orders to Minot AFB in North
Dakota where they have set roots in the small town of Glenburn in December of 2021.
Brandy received her bachelor's degree in Biology in 2015 from Texas Tech University and also completed a Licensed Vocational Nursing program in 2018. She earned a master's degree in Public Health through Texas Tech Health Science Center in December 2025.

State Officer Coach and Event Assistant
Kyan
Woodruff is a senior political science major at North Dakota State University with a passion for leadership,
advocacy, and supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals. Outside of HOSA, Kyan has worked as a
government program and health integration intern at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota and as a rescue aide
on the code blue team at Sanford Health.
Kyan's HOSA journey began in high school, where he served for two years as North Dakota HOSA state vice president before serving as state president in 2024.
Now serving as the North Dakota HOSA state officer coach and event assistant, Kyan mentors the North Dakota HOSA state officers, supports conferences and programming, and helps students develop their communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. He is committed to ensuring every officer and member has the resources, guidance, and encouragement needed to make a meaningful impact within HOSA and their communities.
